Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

The portrayal of “imaginary” things, (like religions, countries, and corporations), that we sapiens use to organize ourselves made me smile every time it came up.

perdition: eternal damnation
indolent: lazy
polity: an organized society, State, (OED’s 2nd definition).

As money brings down the dams of community, religion and state, the world is in danger of becoming one big and rather heartless marketplace.
